A Spare 5 minutes

Hey! So I guess it’s been a little time since the last blog. I tend to write them on my pad but the past couple of weeks my pad broke… yeah the new one to replace the one that broke. Dammit Samsung, I like you but why have I had 2 Galaxy Tabs break in a row exactly the same way. The Tab 2 broke when it was in my hands saying “I’m running out of battery” so I go to plug it in and it dies before I get chance. The Tab 3 did the same… I actually paid to get that one repaired though. It’s coming back on Friday.

Talking of things dieing in my hand a story I mentioned in my podcast is still in my head… when I was a kid a bird died and we gave it a burial, very sad. let’s lift the mood…

Just finished recording a podcast with Zoe, which is always fun. I’m hoping this week we can get some attention from Audioboom as they have been a little scarce for the Prick Up Your Ears support, which isnt good because at the moment it’s one of the main things we do and it’s topical. I had a spare 5 minutes to actually update this on a computer for once. What’s also weird is that I’m using a Keyboard you actually have to press down on the keys instead of just tapping them… I feel like I’ve gone back in time. I’m not sure if I would do anything differently, I’d definatly act differently in places and make less careless mistakes, maybe even say things I should have said and not the stuff I did say, show more consideration, be more understanding. I guess it’s easy to say that now, but things are alright now.

Anyway reeling it back in, We’re on the second series of The Prick Up Your Ears Podcast, just recorded episode 2 and you can hear the last one at http://www.soundgorillas.co.uk/prickupyourears

Anyway that be it for now. I’ll try and update again before my pad works again but to be honest going onto a computer and writing is kind of odd now I’ve done it on my pad, and is portable so can write when I have a spare 5 minutes.

Time to actually do things

Today I’ve been planning things for when I get back to working on stuff… and I’ve had some cool ideas thanks to having a nice lay in today (and lovely Aphre who let me have like 3 hours extra sleep).

I’ve got a bit of a busy time ahead, luckily I’ve decided to not restart the podcast streight away. That’s not even including looking for work too. I need to make sure that it doesn’t all overwhelm everything though.

Tomorrow though is the first full week of 2015 which means that I need to buck my ideas up. Actually do things, lost weight and get work. I was trying before anyway with work but I may have to go overdrive on it.

Til then, it’s time to drink the rest of the vanilla coke and watch more Arrow! My predictions post will be here at some point… possibly tomorrow.

Arrow be watching that all day

If I can’t think of a name for this it will remain “Arrow be watching that all day”, – as in “i’ll be watching that all day” but doesnt work unless i say it. I’m onto the second series now and it’s been pointed out that the words “He” or “She” is “a naughty” when it turns out that someone is a naughty. We’re 5 episodes in though and i told Aphre I think that the relevant person was a naughty (without saying who so no spoiler alerts) and not sure if I’m right about who is going to die.

So trying to think of something to say about life in general but things are going slowly. Getting frustrated about the lack of work, itching for employment now… most specifically media work because I’m really good at it and love it. I just want to get going. I’ve been resting from doing independent work over christmas til monday, but I’ve got obsessed with making a map of self created Arden City. It’s not that exciting.

Watching Bill Bailey on Channel 4 right now, and I’ve been watching a bit of all sorts recently. I am loking forward to getting back to recording things too, in a few weeks because i live for it. Also i have letters to write, sponsorship to look for, websites to update, some decisions to make a few things to edit. I wouldn’t say I was going mad or anything because Aphre is good company and although my partner, shes my best friend, but I am eager to get going again, but part of me could just stay attached to her… like a fridge magnet, because if im not attached to her after a certain period if time life feels wrong. If i did though I would get fatter… really need to sort that out. By the way… fridge magnets, the fridge outside is getting nicely full. LOOK!

I’ve got a lay in tomorrow, however Im feeling sleepy so nkt going to take advantage of that and getting some sleep… I’m taking that sleep… now.

Post 641 the first blog of 2015

This time last year I was on post 517 so that means i must have done127 posts in the last year.

I looked back at last year’s post to see how far I’ve came. Code red 3 still needs finishing but its a completely different episode now and it means half of episode 4 is written. Also still doing the podcast with Zoe and got loads of family stuff going on with the arival of Finn, Ruby being here more and having Aphre keep me company until she goes back to work. Plus looking for relevant work myself and doing my own projects, but at least before we resime the podcast I will be doing some admin work and script writing for sound gorillas, so code red 3 will hopefully be written by the end of January.

The last year has been cool, had some highs and lows like every year has. I bet if you were to survey the highs and lows in ones life they would be an average of a straight line, depending on the thickness of the line.., wait no because if I did one in bic biro, and e other in a gala bingo dabber it would still be the same wibbley but fatter. I’m going off on one now, but i think what I’m getting at is that a general everyday person has them so its not weird or anything.

The final night of my 2014 was spent with Aphre at the White Horse chinese food restaurant with her friend Fran, her Boyfriend Chris and my friend and former uni colleague Stephen (he did one of the main voices on Code Red). He kept us up to date on who was dead, reminded us that Thunderbirds was coming back and asked if we ever heard of a programme called Pinky and The Brain which we all did. It was really nice to see him, and he stayed over at mine ’til about 1am watching the dreadful programme on bbc1 to do with that person singing all the queen songs with queen, but not actually being as good as Freddie Mercury or even George Michael. He sounded like he wanted to be a rubbish mix of the two.

Today was spent having fun with Finn and watching Arrow and eating chocolate with Aphre. We’re done with series 1 and just started on Episode 2 of series 2. Our Internet has been off the last few days too so netflix and now tv have been untouched. They must feel lonely.

What’s 2015 going to bring? I’ll be doing my predictions tomorrow. Yayyyyyyy. I should see if i can dig out the old ones probably on this blog. It’s in it’s 10th year in september (i think) by the way.

It’s bedtime now so go to sleep.
